Brit Now Faces 10yrs in Jail After Pattaya Crash Death

Pattaya, Thailand – A British man involved in a fatal road accident in Thailand has admitted causing the crash, police confirmed. The incident, which claimed the life of Thai woman Jurairat, has raised questions about the suspect’s true identity and whether he may have fled the country.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Itthiporn said the British suspect was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs, but admitted responsibility for the accident. Authorities are collecting more evidence, including witness statements, while awaiting the full forensic report from the hospital. Officials stressed that the man will not be allowed to leave Thailand.

The suspect, referred to in Thai media as Mills, was reportedly attacked by angry bystanders immediately after the collision. He was later released from police custody but has had his passport confiscated in Thailand. Police also confirmed he has already made a 30,000-baht compensation payment to the victim’s family to assist with medical costs.

Victim Tributes

Friends and family have paid tribute to Jurairat, describing her as “everyone’s angel.” Tributes have continued to pour in on Thai and social media platforms.

Suspect’s Identity in Question

There is confusion surrounding the foreigner’s identity. Some Thai news outlets named him as Brandon James Holmes, while UK reports suggest he is the same man convicted in Sheffield, England, in 2022 for dealing heroin and crack cocaine. At that time, he was handed a suspended custodial sentence.

Investigation and Rumours

Police are expected to submit their findings to prosecutors once the forensic examination is complete. However, local media in Thailand have speculated that the suspect may have already crossed illegally into a neighbouring country, though officials have not confirmed this.
