Police secured the area while forensic officers documented the scene and collected evidence as part of their investigation.

According to a neighbour, who asked not to be identified, Spooner regularly carried out maintenance and decorating work on his condominium himself. Shortly before the incident, he had reportedly been seen painting the balcony of his eighth-floor apartment. The neighbour said Spooner was later found to have fallen from the balcony.

Investigators carried out a detailed examination of both the scene and the victim’s apartment. Police said there were no signs of a struggle or any other suspicious circumstances inside the unit.

The investigation remains ongoing. Officers are continuing to gather evidence and are coordinating with the victim’s relatives as part of the inquiry.

The body will be transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine at Police General Hospital in Bangkok for a post-mortem examination. In Thailand, post-mortem examinations are routinely conducted in cases of unexpected or unexplained deaths to establish the cause and circumstances.

Authorities said the exact cause of the incident will be determined once the forensic examination and police investigation have been completed.
