A British tourist arrested in Pattaya case is under investigation after a violent incident inside a bar left a British manager with a serious facial injury early Sunday morning. The attack occurred shortly after midnight on March 8, 2026, at The King’s Table beer bar and restaurant.

Emergency responders from the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation and officers from Pattaya City Police arrived after reports of an assault at the venue in Pattaya.

Bar Manager Suffers Severe Injury in Pattaya Assault

Rescue volunteers found the injured bar manager, a British national, estimated to be between 55 and 60 years old. He suffered a deep facial wound measuring more than 10 centimetres.

First responders treated the victim at the scene before transport to a nearby hospital. Doctors closed the wound with about 30 stitches. Medical staff continue close observation

Witnesses Describe Struggle Inside Office

Bar staff said the manager often met friends at the venue. Two men entered his office with him shortly before the attack.

Employees later noticed the office door shaking. Shadows inside suggested a physical struggle.

One suspect fled before police arrived. Several patrons restrained the second man until officers reached the scene.

Police then detained the suspect and transported him to the station for questioning.

Police Search for Second Suspect

Investigators continue efforts to locate the second suspect. Officers collect witness statements and review evidence from the bar.

Authorities have not released the names of the victim or the detained suspect while the investigation continues

Pattaya Nightlife Context for Visitors

Pattaya receives millions of visitors each year. Areas near Pattaya Beach contain many small venues known locally as beer bars. These bars serve drinks and simple meals and often remain open late.

Violent incidents remain uncommon in tourist zones, though disputes linked to alcohol or personal conflict occur at times.

Investigation Continues

Police continue interviews with witnesses and staff members. Officials expect further updates once investigators complete initial inquiries.
