Police Detain Thai Woman and British Man

Police officers arrived at the scene and detained a 61-year-old Thai woman, identified as Nucharee, a Bangkok resident, and a 34-year-old British man. According to police, the man did not carry identification documents at the time of arrest. Officers stated he later admitted to the behaviour after reviewing the video evidence provided by witnesses.

The incident drew attention due to its setting. Pattaya Beach runs along a main road directly opposite the city’s Police Station, one of the city’s primary law enforcement facilities. The visibility of the act caused concern among early morning beachgoers and passersby.

Public Indecency Laws in Thailand

Under Thai law, public indecency involves sexual acts visible to others in public spaces. These laws apply equally to Thai nationals and foreign visitors. Penalties vary based on court decisions and the circumstances of each case.

 Police Continue Legal Proceedings

Police transported both suspects to a local Police Station for further questioning. Investigators are reviewing additional factors, including possible alcohol involvement.

The police confirmed the case will proceed through the Thai legal system. Authorities reminded residents and tourists to respect local laws and cultural standards while visiting the beach resorts and other destinations in Thailand.
