DAVID McMillan was the first Westerner ever to escape from the notorious “Bangkok Hilton” prison in Thailand when he made a bid for freedom using a hacksaw, a porn mag and an umbrella. The convicted drug smuggler was banged up in Klong Prem Central Prison on two narcotics charges and was facing the death penalty when he decided to escape.
