A foreign man assault in Bangkok has drawn wide attention after he was injured following an alleged attack on a transgender woman, locally known as a ladyboy, near Sukhumvit Road. The incident, caught on video and shared online on October 27, shows bystanders intervening and later retaliating, leading to public calls for police action.

Video Shows Violent Attack on Transgender Woman

Footage published by ThaiRath and the Facebook page You Know shows the man, dressed in a black shirt, attacking a transgender woman in a yellow dress. He pushed her to the ground and kicked her several times while she tried to defend herself. The assault took place in an alley off Sukhumvit Road, a major tourist area known for its nightlife.

Nearby transgender women shouted for the man to stop. One witness tried to help but ran away when he threw rubbish in their direction.

Locals Retaliate Against the Attacker

Moments later, several Thai men who witnessed the scene chased the foreign man and attacked him in response. The footage ends with him lying on the pavement, bleeding from the head, as one of the locals scolds him for his behavior. Witnesses said his injuries appeared serious, though no official medical report has been released.

Police have not yet identified those involved or commented on the case. The motive for the attack remains unclear.
