A Korean tourist in Pattaya has reported ฿25,000 in cash missing after taking a Thai woman back to his hotel room following a night out on Walking Street.
The 33-year-old South Korean man, identified as Yeonho Lim, told local media he had been drinking at a venue on Walking Street in South Pattaya on September 10 when he met a Thai woman.

He says the woman approached him and struck up a conversation before he invited her back to his hotel for more drinks.
Korean Tourist Says Cash Disappeared After Falling Asleep
After returning to his room, the pair continued drinking for a while.
Lim told reporters he became tired and fell asleep.
When he woke at around 7am, the woman had left the room. He then checked his belongings and discovered ฿25,000 in cash was missing.
He also reportedly found his bag open.
The Korean tourist subsequently contacted Pattaya City Police and filed a complaint over the missing money.
CCTV Footage Handed To Pattaya Police
Lim provided police with CCTV footage and other evidence in the hope it would help identify the woman and establish what happened.

Police have accepted the complaint and are reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage, as part of their investigation.
Investigators will also need to establish whether the missing cash was taken by the woman or whether there is another explanation for the loss.
No Theft Confirmed
At present, police have not confirmed that a theft took place or that the woman took the missing money.
The woman’s alleged involvement remains an accusation made by the complainant. No finding of criminal responsibility has been reported.
The case remains under investigation by Pattaya City Police.
