UFC’s McGregor returns LIVE at The Game Jan. 19
After more than a year of speculation about when he would return to UFC, Conor McGregor re-enters the Octagon Jan. 19 against “Cowboy” Donald Cerrone and The Game will be bringing it live to Bangkok.
Despite his 2018 loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov, Ireland’s McGregor remains a huge draw in for UFC fans and those watching at The Game won’t miss a minute. The live coverage begins with the undercard at 8 a.m. and continues through the midday main event. Throughout, The Game will have plenty of drink specials on offer to keep thirsty fans quenched.
From 8 a.m., MMA maniacs can enjoy local draft beer pints for 100 baht or pitchers from 250 baht, Hanoi Premium bottles for 79 baht, Guinness pints for 200 baht, house win for 125 baht or house spirits for 100 baht. And there’s never any ++ added to prices at The Game.
Hungry? Enjoy any pizza, burger or pie from 11 a.m. and get a free pint of local draft or soft drink.
If there’s anything as certain as The Game’s happy hour deals, it’s that both McGregor and Cowboy need a win.
The fighting Irishman hasn’t won since beating Eddie Alvarez back in UFC 205 while Cerrone is coming off losses from two of the best in the division: Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje.
Many claim the fight will be an easy one for McGregor, but Cowboy’s resume begs to differ, especially because they will compete at the welterweight – not lightweight – division.
Pundits believe McGregor’s boxing and footwork skills will be too much for Cerrone and will get the job done in the early rounds. But others point to Cerrone’s experience, ground game and striking ability to put McGregor down for good on Jan. 19.
