PATTAYA, Thailand — Police detained an unidentified man involved in the Pattaya drunk foreigner incident on October 20 after he was found naked and behaving erratically at a major intersection near Wat Chai Mongkhon, a well-known Buddhist temple on South Pattaya Road.

At about 9:00 a.m., Pattaya City Police received several calls reporting a man standing nude in traffic. Witnesses said he appeared to be in his forties and was shouting incoherently while striking passing vehicles.

When officers arrived, they found him standing with his arms spread, facing the sun, and chanting prayers. The unusual display drew attention from both locals and tourists.

Police said the man appeared intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. He carried no identification, and his nationality has not yet been confirmed.

After a brief struggle, officers restrained him and took him to Pattaya Memorial Hospital for medical evaluation. Authorities said they would decide on further legal steps once his condition and identity are verified.
