Bangkok police carried out a Bangkok drug bust in the city’s Nana nightlife district early Sunday morning, arresting eight Nigerian men and one Thai national. Officers disguised themselves as construction workers to blend in and conduct the undercover operation.

Police Major General Theeradet Thumsuthee, Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, said the arrests took place on Sukhumvit Soi 11 in Watthana District, a well-known area for tourists and expatriates.
The Bangkok drug bust involved 40 plainclothes officers dressed as concrete workers. The sting followed online complaints about suspected African drug traffickers and pickpockets disturbing visitors in the Nana area, known for its nightlife and foreign community.
