Pattaya police were called to a late-night altercation involving US Navy personnel outside Central Pattaya in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The incident happened at around 1:28 AM on September 3, 2026, on Pattaya Second Road, outside Central Pattaya Beach.
Pattaya Police Respond to US Navy Altercation
Motorcycle patrol officers from Pattaya City Police Station were dispatched after receiving a report of an altercation involving foreign nationals.
When officers arrived, they found the people involved were personnel from the US Navy. Police quickly separated the parties and stepped in to calm the situation before tensions could escalate further.
The incident occurred in one of Pattaya’s busiest tourist areas, with Central Pattaya and the surrounding nightlife district attracting large numbers of visitors late into the night.
Police also worked to minimise disruption to tourists, members of the public and businesses in the area.
No Details Released on What Started the Incident
Following the initial intervention, Pattaya police contacted the relevant authorities to deal with the matter according to established procedures.
The original Thai report did not provide details about what triggered the altercation. It also did not state whether anyone was injured, arrested or charged.
The police response took place under the command of Provincial Police Region 2 Commissioner Pol. Lt. Gen. Chatchai Surachetthaphong and Chonburi Provincial Police Commander Pol. Maj. Gen. Phongphan Wongmaneethep.
Pol. Col. Anek Srathongyu, Superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, closely supervised the operation in the area.
Police said their priority was maintaining safety for both Thai and foreign tourists and preventing the situation from escalating.
