The incident took place at around 3.30 am in Pattaya, a popular beach city in Chon Buri province on Thailand’s eastern coast. Rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation, a local emergency rescue organisation, responded after reports that a foreign visitor had lost consciousness inside a venue on Walking Street. Medical personnel from Pattaya City Hospital also attended the scene.

Walking Street is one of Thailand’s busiest nightlife areas and is well known among tourists for its bars, clubs, live music venues, and late-night entertainment.

Rescue workers found the man unconscious on the floor of the venue. Officials said he was wearing jeans and had no shirt on at the time. He was also reported to have suffered a head injury. City officials and emergency personnel performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, commonly known as CPR, in an effort to save his life while tourists and venue staff looked on.

Despite continued attempts to revive him, the tourist was declared dead at the scene.

According to witness statements given to police, the man had arrived at the venue earlier in the evening with a group of friends and had appeared to behave normally. Witnesses said he later sat down at a table to rest for a short time.

Friends reportedly tried to wake him when preparing to leave the venue, but he did not respond. Staff members then alerted emergency services and assisted in moving him downstairs while waiting for rescue workers to arrive.

Police officers from Pattaya City Police Station inspected the venue and collected evidence as part of an ongoing investigation. Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of death.

Officials stated that the body would undergo a post-mortem examination, also known as an autopsy, to determine whether the death was linked to an existing medical condition or injuries sustained during a fall.

The incident caused concern among tourists and employees in the crowded nightlife district, which attracts large numbers of local and international visitors each night. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity, and police have not confirmed whether additional witnesses will be questioned as the investigation continues.

Further information is expected following the results of the autopsy and the completion of official inquiries.
