Police Respond to Late-Night Pattaya Beach Theft
Police Lieutenant Phupha Hongyakul, Deputy Inspector at Pattaya City Police Station, said the incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on November 8, 2025. The victim, Mr. Kirubakaran Sankar, 24, from India, reported being approached by two transgender individuals while walking with friends after checking into a South Pattaya hotel.

Suspects Fled After Robbery
Mr. Sankar told police the suspects tried to hug and touch him, offering sexual services. When he refused, they fled. Moments later, he noticed his gold necklace missing. His attempt to pursue the suspects failed, leading him to file a report at the police station.

CCTV Footage May Reveal Pattaya Beach Theft Suspects
Lt. Phupha said investigators are reviewing CCTV footage from the area, which may provide clear images of the suspects.

Repeat Crimes Harm Pattaya’s Tourism Image
Police said the Pattaya Beach theft was not an isolated case. Similar crimes by transgender groups have occurred frequently, where tourists are distracted through physical contact before having valuables stolen.

Despite constant police presence near the Tourist Police Center, such thefts continue to damage Pattaya’s reputation as a world-class tourist destination.

Authorities are working to identify the culprits and strengthen beach patrols to prevent further incidents.
