Pattaya Gold Necklace Theft: Three Transgender Suspects Target Indian Tourist

South Pattaya is facing another Pattaya gold necklace theft incident after three transgender suspects allegedly lured a 24-year-old Indian tourist and stole his gold necklace valued at over 100,000 baht.

The Pattaya gold necklace theft occurred around 1:30 a.m. on September 20, 2025, near Soi 13/1 (Yamato Soi) on Pattaya Beach Road, Nong Prue, Bang Lamung, Chonburi. The victim, Mr. Rahut Devda, reported the crime at Pattaya City Police Station to Police Lieutenant Manasak Pholyiem.

Police said the three suspects, dressed provocatively, approached the tourist and offered sexual services. During the interaction, they allegedly removed his gold necklace and escaped.

Victim’s Statement and Scene Inspection

Mr. Devda showed police and reporters photos of the gold necklace on his phone to confirm ownership. He later led reporters to the scene of the Pattaya gold necklace theft. The area is less than 10 meters from a community police volunteer booth, but no officers were present at the time. Witnesses confirmed the area is a well-known hotspot where sex workers and transgender individuals solicit tourists.
