The incident reportedly took place inside a hotel on South Pattaya Soi 9. Hotel employees told local reporters that the suspect checked into the property on May 23 and was scheduled to leave on May 25. On the morning of the attack, the victim allegedly ran from the room seeking help while covered in blood. Two transgender friends accompanied her as hotel staff contacted emergency services and police.

Investigators later inspected the hotel room and found signs of a violent struggle. Broken glass, shattered bottles, bloodstained bedsheets, and damaged furniture were discovered inside the room. Hotel management has since filed a formal complaint seeking compensation for property damage.

The victim stated online that the suspect became violent after allegedly learning she was transgender. She also warned others about similar incidents involving groups of Chinese men accused of violent behaviour toward women and transgender individuals in Pattaya.

Police from Pattaya City Police confirmed the case and said officers immediately reviewed CCTV footage and traced the suspect’s movements after receiving the complaint. Immigration authorities later confirmed the suspect had already left Thailand through Suvarnabhumi Airport and returned to China before formal legal action began.

Authorities are continuing to collect witness statements and forensic evidence while the victim remains hospitalised. Police are preparing to seek an arrest warrant from the Pattaya Provincial Court as the investigation continues.
